About Camp Koch

GSSI's resident camp programs are held at the council's property, Camp Koch, near Cannelton, Indiana. Camp Koch is a safe place for girls to learn independence, test their ideas, explore new interests, and learn cooperation through group living experiences. A girl may encourage non-member friends to participate, too, but their camp registration fee will include the $15 Girl Scout membership fee. Campers are accepted without regard to race, color, national origin, or physical disabilities.

Resident camp is coordinated by a staff Resident Camp Director, along with a group of dedicated Girl Scout volunteers.

1. Troop Camporee (BR, JR, CD) – June 13-14 Completed

2. Camper Sampler I (entering grades 2-5) – July 5-7 Registration closed

3. Camper Sampler II (entering grades 2-5) – July 8-10 FULL

4. Adventure Seekers (entering grades 4-6) – July 5-10 FULL

5. Camp Koch Challenge (entering grades 7-10) – July 5-10 Registration closed

6. Daisy, Brownie & Junior Adventure Day (DA, BR, JR) – July 18 Deadline extended to Mon. July 13 at 5pm!

Camp Koch 2015 Saturday Session:

Daisy, Brownie, & Junior Adventure Day (Grades K-3)

Are your Daisy, Brownies, and Juniors curious about Camp Koch? Come spend the day with us and see what camp has to offer! We will have a day filled with games, crafts, swimming, hiking, and more! Come as a troop, a group, or a family and make new friends in this exciting, fun-filled day a camp!

For registered Daisy, Brownie, and Junior Girls. Fee is $7 per person.

Saturday, July 18, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Registration deadline and full payment is due Friday, July 3, Mon, July 13, 2015.  Adventure Day registration is not available online and can be found HERECarefully read the registration details before registering your troop.Complete one form troop registering. Girls without a troop may attend with an accompanying adult. No tags.

Troop Cancellation Policy: No walk-ins or payments will be accepted at the event. To cancel an order, contact camp@girlscouts-gssi.org. If a troop cancels, requests made up to two weeks before the camp session begins receive a refund minus a $25 registration fee.  Following that date, the balance is refundable until the session begins only in cases such as a leader illness or family emergency where a leader cannot be present.

Requests made up to two weeks before the camp session begins receive a full refund.  Following that date, the fee is refundable until the session begins only if the camper is ill and the request is accompanied by a physician’s statement

REGISTRATION DEADLINE for Overnight Resident Camps and full payments are due Friday, June 19, 2015.

A $50.00 deposit to hold your space will be accepted until June 12, 2015. All camps include a non-refundable $50 registration fee. To cancel an order, contact camp@girlscouts-gssi.org. Requests made up to two weeks before the camp session begins receive a refund minus the $50 fee. Following that date, the balance is refundable until the session begins only if the camper is ill and the request is accompanied by a physician’s statement.

Please add a $15 Girl Scout Membership Fee for non-members.

Camper Sampler I & II (Grades 2-5)

Imagine, three days for you to try out some of the great programs Camp Koch has to offer! During your stay at camp, you can try kayaking, swimming, hiking, games, crafts, and more! You can make new friends and experience new exciting adventures during these three fun-filled days!  

For girls entering grades 2 - 5 this fall – Fee is $85 per session and includes a shirt and patch.

Session I: Sunday, July 5, 3:00 p.m. to Tuesday, July 7, 2:00 p.m.  Limited number of spots available

Session II: Wednesday, July 8, 3:00 p.m. to Friday, July 10, 2:00 p.m.  FULL

This is a great starter camp for girls who are new to outdoor camping or are only able to participate a few days.

Adventure Seekers 5 Night Camp (grades 4-6) FULL 

A great summer adventure is waiting for you at Camp Koch! During this session, you have the opportunity to try archery, kayaking, swimming, hiking, games, crafts, and so much more! If you are an Adventure Seeker, join us for a time of making new friends, campfire cooking, and singing silly songs! Girls must have a Medical History Form completed by a physician by June 19, 2015.

For girls entering grades 4 - 6 this fall - Fee is $170 and includes a shirt and patch.

Sunday, July 5, 3:00 p.m. to Friday, July 10, 2:00 p.m.

Camp Koch Challenge 5 Night Camp (Grades 7-10) Limited number of spots left

Are you ready to take on the Camp Koch Challenge?!? During this week, you will have the change to try kayaking, swimming, archery, games, crafts, and the camp challenge course. This session also includes a day trip to Eagle’s Wings Zipline in Leopold, IN! (Leopold is 20 miles north of Camp Koch.) If you like adventure and taking on a challenge with your group, you won’t want to miss Camp Koch Challenge! Girls must have a Medical History Form completed by a physician by June 19, 2015.

For girls entering grades 7- 10 this fall - Fee is $225 and includes a shirt and patch.
